Newsletter: Celebrations 09

I was born in the month of July. My adorable husband reminded me that all of JULY is my birthday month. When the day of my birthday came he of course made a big deal that it was THE DAY. Once that was over, he decided that the WHOLE YEAR should be my birthday year :))) I like the way the man thinks.

I thought about celebrations. How we wait for certain occasions and times of the year to make a big deal about things. And more often, it's just one day that flies by quickly.

The Aborigines have a great way of celebrating. The celebrate when they feel that they've personally accomplished something, grown in a certain way, learned something new. They decide when to celebrate. There is no particular time, date just a reason. It's time to celebrate and the proclamation is made.

Friends are gathered, food is made, music is played. The person who decided that a celebration was required lets the rest know what the reason is. Everyone rejoices for that person. They've grown and want to share it with all.

I find it to be a very powerful way to celebrate. Being inspired by them and my husband I have spent most of July celebrating. Going to Disney World , taking Qi-gong training, having a party for myself, spending time by the ocean, eating delicious foods from around the world. All with my husband and good friends. It has been awesome.

I plan to continue for the WHOLE BIRTHDAY YEAR! I hope you do the same.

With hugs
