Newsletter: Dalai Lama May 09

This past weekend I once again, joined thousands of people and spent a day in the presence of the Dalai Lama. For those of you who don't know who he is, he is the spiritual leader of Tibet who is exiled in India. He fled his country 50 years ago when the Chinese took over.

When you spend time with him, you notice that even though he has the weight and responsibility of his people on his shoulders, he has a child like energy. He laughs, giggles, pokes fun at himself. His wisdom is compassionate and simple. He often says to his audience that there is no difference between him and them. They are one and the same.

As I was observing him for the second time, I came to the realization that he makes his wisdom look so effortless. There is so much chaos in the planet, he acknowledges it, but moves in pure grace. His whole country is not free, yet he doesn't focus on it constantly.

Why is that?

He is a spiritual warrior. A being that that knows his purpose and mission on the planet and lives it daily. It doesn't mean he doesn't have challenges, pains, problems. He transcends it all by consistently focusing on his purpose. His core reason to be here. He also has a fantastic spiritual discipline that keeps him aligned.

Having a spiritual discipline is critical to staying on purpose. Besides that, it keeps your vibration calm even in the eye of a storm. If you don't have one, I would suggest that you find one. With all the chaos on the planet now, it is vital for your well being. Some ideas for spiritual disciplines.

Remember to do them daily, especially when it doesn't count!

Be well and have a good week,

Mona
