Newsletter: Life is good 09
One of my favorite sayings is from a company named "Life is good." It's such a simple statement but one that I find so profound.
I was meditating on this line in the morning and came to realize this. We live in one of the most powerful times in history. The world is smaller allowing us to travel and communicate with each other easily. If we need any information it's just a few clicks away. Knowledge and learning are abundant. But most importantly, we have the ability to change our lives.
Think about it. 100 years ago you and I have very little if any possibility of changing our lives and the world. Being a woman gave me little if any rights. Being able to chose how, where I wanted to live my life wasn't an option.
There is much to do right now but we can do it. We have the resources, we have the education we have the desire. 100 years ago, we wouldn't have even known what was happening. We had absolutely no control over anything.
Does this all come with responsibility, absolutely. We have so much of everything and that requires us to also become emotionally mature. Otherwise this plethora of everything has no meaning. Emotional maturity requires the realization that you are in charge of your own life now. Everything you need is available, excuses are not permitted.
Today and everyday, count the ways life is good for you. Remind yourself of the choices you do have. You will be astounded.
With hugs
