Are you the kind of person who wants what they want right NOW? Working with so many people I've come to notice a pattern of impatience within all of us. A lot of times people come to me and expect they will feel better immediately. In some cases that is very possible, but in others some work is required. Especially if the person has never done work on themselves before.

In Malcolm Gladwell's book, Outliers, he discusses how people become masters or geniuses at what they do. It takes approximately 10,000 hours or 10 years. To get the kind of results we want, we have to practice. It doesn't just happen.

So why is it that we are so impatient? We're conditioned to want immediate gratification. It's the child in us that demands we get what we want, NOW. If we don't, we throw a tantrum. It is a sense of entitlement that we've not outgrown.

Your life is a direct reflection of the work you've done within you. If you've worked on healing your relationship with yourself, you will have incredible relationships. If you've worked on mastering money, you will attract abundance. Whatever you've focused on a LOT you've mastered. It didn't just happened. It was a process that required attention and dedication.

The next time you're impatient, be honest and ask yourself how much time and energy have you really spent engaging that part of you. 10,000 hours is the minimum to be a master.

Be well and let me know what you're a master of.
