Is there a member of your family, your ex, a friend, someone from work that makes you feel bad when you think about them? Most of the time you simply move away and avoid these people but every-time you think of them you feel the same old emotions? The reason you're having such a strong reaction is that there is a cord stuck between you and that person.
A cord is a connection that keeps you tied to another person. When we interact with people we think are important to us, we create connections with them. There are two types of cords. A positive and a negative one. The positive ones supports you, is compassionate, caring, unconditional in it's love, kind and generous. These cords are healthy for you and give you energy as long as you don't become dependent on them.
A toxic cord holds negative energies that were, are part of that relationship with that person. For example, if you have a negative cord still stuck to your ex , you might still feel emotions such as betrayal, anger, hatred, sadness, fear, rejection etc. Even if you're no longer seeing each other, because of this cord, toxic emotions could be going back and forth, affecting your future relationships. His/her emotions might be blocking you from attracting what you truly want. It doesn't matter that you're not in the same state or country. When these negative emotions come up, you are sending out a negative vibration onto the planet that creates a powerful magnet. By the way, cords don't just block future relationships because of unresolved emotions, they affect your health, finances and peace of mind.
There are major toxic cords and minor toxic cords.
Major cords are with spouses, parents, siblings, abusers, children, grandparents, best friends, ex's.
Minor cords are with teachers, bullies, acquaintances, clients. Anyone you don't feel deeply connected to but the memory of them still bothers you.
Think of cords as highways. Energy between you and that person is moving back and forth. If they're positive that's awesome, if they're negative you will still be feeling the drama when you think about them.
